In most cases, people would like to search and tweak the OBS settings every now and then so as to make the recordings as professional as possible.

OBS allows users to adjust the settings in the software so that people can get the best of out it. If you are an OBS user, or if you are just about to try OBS to record video, you should not miss this article as it tells you the best OBS recording settings. However, out of curiosity I tried the Radeon software recorder and it seemed to work on stock settings (not quite as good as I'd like it, but i'm yet to play around with it).OBS (Open Broadcaster Service) is one of the best video recording software with a large number of users around the world. it's not throttling, not even getting much warmer than idle temps. I've thought about upgrading my cpu, but it should be more than enough. I really don't think there's anything I'm missing. uninstalled and reinstalled, even reinstalled windows and updated my bios. if i raise the bitrate too much i get the "encoding overloaded" message, i gradually lower it and it stays choppy until it gets to the point there's artefacting, and it's still choppy. I've tried changing the affinity in task manager so the game is using less cores, I've capped the fps in game. I've tried literally every setting, adjusting the bitrate, changing rate control, changing encoding, changing key frame intervals, rescalling to 720p, 30fps. I would like to see and compare it with mine.

It looks trash no matter what I do.Īny recommendations for settings that should help?Ĭould you provide a screenshot of your OBS settings? I'm no expert on this but I have recorded videos using OBS without any issues in the past. I've played with bitrate, and scaling down to 720p, and managed to get rid of the choppyness, but I get loads of artifacting. it's really choppy, but my cpu is only getting to around 70% usage and not getting too hot. I'm hitting 300 fps in game (because thats the default max), and i've capped it at 120fps. I'm really struggling with getting consistent quality. So i've been making walkthrough videos for some of the workshop maps.
